Overview
“Cooking is not a gender role; it is a life skill.”
Hunar is a team-based cooking competition designed to challenge stereotypes, celebrate collaboration, and highlight that cooking is completely gender-neutral.
Through multiple rounds, participants will showcase creativity, sensory skills, strategy, and teamwork while delivering a powerful social message of equality and cooperation.
Rounds
Round 1 – Sensory Identification: Both team members are blindfolded and must identify ingredients using taste and smell. Top teams qualify.
Round 2 – Star Ingredient & Auction: Teams bid points in an ingredient auction and cook using a mandatory star ingredient.
Round 3 – Final Cooking Round:Final Cooking Round: Qualified teams face a final challenge to cook an outstanding dish with the ingredients bought.
Prizes
Prize pool worth ₹10,000+
Winning teams will be rewarded for their creativity, teamwork, presentation, and culinary skills.
Rules and Regulations
- Participation is strictly in teams of two.
- Both team members must actively participate in all rounds.
- External assistance is strictly prohibited.
- Strict adherence to time limits is mandatory.
- Hygiene and discipline must be maintained at all times.
- Only ingredients provided or won during the auction may be used.
- Any misuse of utensils or misconduct leads to immediate disqualification.
- Judging will be based on taste, creativity, presentation, teamwork, and hygiene.
- Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
